Dear Mr. Kosinski:

I am contacting you as an authorized representative of Mr. Josip Knezevic – aka James J. Braddock, an author, novelist, and director, who was born and raised in Sarajevo, and is the author of the novel “The Soul Shattering”, printed and published in 2007 with the support of Ministries of Culture of three different countries (Croatia, Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina). Reviewers of the novel were the president of the Academy of Art and Science of the Republic of Montenegro, Mr. Jevrem Brkovic and Life Coach Ms. Tatjana Divljak.

He based the novel (The Soul Shattering) upon real events and he has the facts and story (exclusively) since 1992, as he was working as Director of the News Program of the RTV Sarajevo, when the world still did not know anything about the camps in Bosnia.

Mr. Knezevic (Braddock) has learned and determined from the statements of the people involved in the film "In the Land of Blood and Honey" and Ms. Jolie herself, that the novel The Soul Shattering served as the base (pretext, platform) of the movie that is being in pre-release stage presently, because basic and important details of the story and plot are very similar if not identical to those of the book. That is the reason to contacting you.

I want to emphasize that the author is the Prague film University alumni as well as the TV and movie director with 30-year of experience, who was working in the city during the war in Bosnia and siege of Sarajevo. He is also the author of the first Bosnian war related documentary film - Rage of a Sarajevan. Because of his directing, writing, statements and pro truth and democratic activities he lost all his properties (and barely survived) in the shattering of Sarajevo.

He tried to reach you before, but his requests to speak to someone in charge (Ms. Jolie and/or producers) were ignored, so he went public to Croatian and Bosnian media.

We are authorized to represent Mr. Knezevic (Braddock) in this matter, but before we pursue public and/or legal actions in the United States (and worldwide), we would like to resolve all the possible discrepancies and/or problems, and thus avoid unnecessary inconvenience for all parties involved.

Respectfully,
